Japan based car company, Honda, has made yet another significant step forward in the increasingly environmentally minded consumer market. This time the company has announced that they have invented a new type of technology that makes diesel engines just as clean as regular gasoline engines and will be able to clear the new tough emission regulations that are being invoked next year. While the system is not perfect yet, the company is optimistic that it will be able to fine tune the new technology for the American market within three years. The reason for the development of the diesel technology is that diesel run cars typically get at least 30 miles more per gallon than gasoline cars but produce more harmful gas; this new technology will eliminate the nitrogen oxide that is produced by other diesel fueled cars and instead only emit harmless nitrogen gases. Ever conscious of the environment, Honda was also the very first car company to announce voluntary global carbon dioxide reduction targets for its products and production processes.
