Hitler Watercolors Sold

21 watercolors done by Adolf Hitler during World War I are going to be auctioned off in England. The paintings were found in an attic by a woman back in the 1980’s before she offered to sell them to the auction house. She believed that they were left there by refugees who used the attic of the house as refuge during the war. "People have been ringing up every day about it," said Ian Morris, auctioneer at Jeffery’s. "It's very unusual to have that number of Hitler's watercolors up for auction." This will be the largest sale of Hitler artworks ever done at one time and it has been getting the interest of collectors from all over the world including collectors from the United States, Russia and South Africa. Morris hopes that at least a couple of the works will go for £5,000 or more though he does admit that "It is reasonable amateur art but not professional,"

The sale, for the most part, went off without any problems on Tuesday the 26th except for an incident with two men causing a disruption in the middle of the auction. The two men, Aaron Barschak, who gained notoriety by dressing up as Osama bin Laden and crashing Prince William's 21st birthday party in 2003, and Peter Cunningham, jumped up and began shouting at the crowd before being escorted out by security.
