Greenpeace might face a lawsuit in Indonesia Greenpeace might face a lawsuit in Indonesia with Aburizal Bakeri, cabinet minister for people’s welfare, in Indonesia, threatening to sue this organization for dumping mud in front of his office in central Jakarta, to protest against an environmental disaster in East Java, which has made a number of people to flee their homes. The minister’s family holds a substantial stake in Lapindo Brantas, the company, which is believed to have triggered this disaster. Greenpeace activists, who are urging the minister to take responsibility for this mud flow disaster, dumped 700 Kilograms of mud in front of the minister’s office. A ministry official said that pouring mud outside a government building was not ethical and the ministry was considering its options to sue Greenpeace for this action. Victims of this mudflow disaster are rallying against the administration and they want Lapindo Brantas to be held responsible for this disaster. The administration to control the protests has issued shoot-on-site order against the violent protestors.
