Gas Prices Hitting Lows Will this trend infiltrate the rest of the country? Hopefully. Around the country drivers are seeing the long-hidden "1" back on the gas signs. Trucking companies are actually lowering their fuel surcharges, which have hit as high as 25%. Is this a sneaky Rovian trick, just in time for elections? Doubtful as the cost of oil around the world has fallen dramatically in the past days. Instead of looking at this as a campaign tactic, let's just appreciate the lower cost of gas and pay our credit card bills on time this month.
