French Doctors To Perform Operation In Zero Gravity

French scientists are going to attempt to perform the first surgical procedure in zero gravity conditions later this week. The operation will be to remove a fatty tumor from a brave volunteer in an aircraft that was specially built by European scientists that will simulate the zero gravity environment of space by flying in a series of maneuvers that will create up to 22 seconds of zero gravity conditions and then repeat it 30 times over a period of 3 hours, unfortunately this means that doctors will have to pause their procedure each time until the zero gravity conditions return. If successful though, the operation could lead to astronauts being able to perform surgical procedures in space. As of this writing, there have been no recorded injuries of astronauts while in space but with over 400 people having been in space, the odds of major injury occurring at some point are ever increasing.
