Dozens of Germans line the streets for Pope visit Remember when the old Pope John Paul George and Ringo or whatever used to visit Poland and everybody there went absolutely ape you-know-what? It’s the same thing with the natives here, only different. Or only indifferent, I should say. Böse Zungen (wicked tongues) are spreading the rumor that he’s only come here to follow Günter Grass’ bad example and admit to his dark past (he was once a German) so he can plug his new book (see above) which actually isn't new at all.
