Dems begging for votes overseas

Jimmy Carter on the BBC was heard appealing to Democats living overseas to make sure they mail in their votes, since the current elections are so closely split. Interestingly enough, he didn't make any suggestions on how the Democrats could improve their own platform, close their own ranks, or make improvements on the Democratic economic plan.

Carter instead focused on criticizing American policy, saying that Europeans were "embarrassed" by Guantanamo and dismayed by "American adventurism." He has shopped his interview around to all the major news outlets in an effort to get his message out. Since the tone of his comments are mostly negative, it is not likely that Democrats Abroad, the group chaired by Carter, will get much air time.

Maybe if the Dems had some ideas that would help?

Story here.
Carter's group is here.

As a Democrat Abroad, I'm delighted President Jimmy Carter is reminding U.S. citizens abroad to exercise their right to vote.

It is true, as he says, that living abroad give you a different perspective. We see how America's standing in the world has fallen thanks to the Bush Administration's foreign policy.

I encourage all my fellow Americans abroad to register to vote for the crucial mid-term election on Nov. 7th. Google election & vote
to find a website to help you register.

Maybe if people who think the Dems don't have a plan did their homework, they would actually see that it is the Republicans that are vacant in ideas. The fear factor is not a plan, renewing the middle class and empowering the people, now there is a plan.
