Democratic Candidate Removed from Event Shea-Porter and her campaign manager Susan Meyer sat in the audience with jackets covering their shirts. At the end of the event, they rose and removed their jackets revealing T-shirts bearing the slogan, "Turn your back on Bush." The pair was then escorted from the event. Shea-Porter has so far declined to comment at length on the story, other than to claim she was "roughly handled by a male staffer" as she was leaving.
