China may limit outside research  Breaking News: I was surfing the news this morning (In China that means you click through the 20 stations replaying the exact same stories) and heard that the Chinese government is looking to reduce outside research studies on Chinese citizens. This move is likely to make that next academic conference speech of yours a bit more allegorical than data based. The scope of the slowdown was not made entirely clear nor was there a mention of when it would begin. It is disheartening further evidence, along with limiting foreign partnerships and the rise in Internet restrictions, that China is looking to be more autonomous--my euphemistic way of saying more isolated.
