Chavez Issues Warning To United States

Leader of South American country Venezuela, Hugo Chavez has stepped up with some very strong challenges and warnings to the United States in the defense of his ally, Iran. During a recent visit from Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad; Hugo Chavez made it very clear that should Iran be attacked Venezuela would officially cut off all oil exports to the United States as would Iran. The loss in oil could send the price of oil in the United States to more than $100 a barrel. While the Iranian president tried to be non-confrontational with his statements, Chavez was much more forward saying "We don't want another war, but there will be disastrous consequences if Iran is attacked."
