Baily Colorado, Another School Shooting, Hostage Situation "The Jefferson County bomb squad and SWAT team responded to a reported emergency in Bailey, which is located about 50 miles southwest of Denver. The two schools share a wall with each other. One local affiliate, KCNC-CBS, reported that one gunman and a hostage may be in the building." CBS is reporting: "A spokeswoman with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said there were several shots were fired. Authorities said a gunman took six hostages and then released two of them." No injuries or fatalities have been officially reported and a portion of nearby US Highway 285 has been shut down temporarily. Students have been evacuated from the high school, according to reports. My God, I can't imagine the anxiety of the parents and the students themselves. Yet another reason I'll be homeschooling mine straight on through 'till college.
