Anna Nicole Smith: The Face of Dysfunction http://entertainment.tv.yahoo.com/entnews/ap/20060916/115844280000.html If there ever were a poster-child for Dysfunction, it would be Anna Nicole Smith. So for anyone to say that Courtney Love has more shame than Anna Nicole, or perhaps more solitary confinement, is saying a lot. Regardless of how pathetic she makes herself look with each and every broadcast, Anna Nicole Smith just refuses to go away for more than a few months. Ironically, the last 9 months of her pregnancy has been the longest that she hasn't been in the news. Hopefully, for the baby, this means that she's been OFF of drugs for that same window of time. Although, she's back, but this time with tragic over-tones. For once in my life, there's a tiny part of me that feels a little sorry for this celebrity. Not much.....but it's one thing to lose a loved one, but to have it happen at the time in your life when you've just given birth.....wow. That's sad. It really is. Now, I don't know any more about her late son than I do of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, but that doesn't change the fact that he must've suffered a lot of critism from his peers regarding his mother. To say that she was even a "mother" to him is far-fetched. Her ability to be a mother is questionable, and for very obvious reasons. It brings to mind many other issues I've often discussed with friends about the "how's" and "why's" us humans procreate....and/or if any or some of us are "qualified" to do so. Who am I to judge, most will say. Well, I am someone who can use Anna Nicole Smith as a fine example of the kind of woman I would NOT want as a mother, nor as a mother for my child. Hell....I wouldn't even want her as a sister or a cousin! Having said that, I can't help but find the unfortunate circumstances eriee in their timing for her. Not including the millions and millions of dollars that this woman (or should I say "girl") has squandered away from hard-working people, she is a classic example of someone with NO morals, ethics, or even decent character traits. They say that money cannot buy happiness, but she's been trying to prove otherwise for as long as she's been in the spotlight. Do I think that this tragic event will make her a better, smarter person? No...I'm not that optimistic about her. In fact, I think it will thrust her into even more drug-riddled, dispicable behaviour as time goes on.....and yes, we will all have a front-row seat. The details will unfold in the days to come about how her son left this world. It may be from totally legitimate circumstances, or it may uncover even more tragedy and dysfunction. We all should fear Karma. For some of us, Karma can have the feel of being hit by a speeding car. For Anna Nicole Smith, it will be a 16-wheel Mac truck with a lead payload. You are one sick human being. You call Anna Nicole Pathetic and yet you criticize and ridicule her during the death (do I need to repeat myself...DEATH) of her SON. Her child just died in front of her in her room during a time in her life that should have been glorious. Now everytime her new daughter celebrates a birthday she will be reminded of the DEATH of her SON! I can understand that you don't like what you have seen of her on TV, but I would make it a safe bet that you don't even know her personally. So far be it from you to judge someone so harshly during a time of such horrible greif. I would also assume you don't have children because if you did you might understand how heartless and cruel you are being. And since you obviously being in KARMA... well you are right Karma does happen and I thing YOU are the one who better watch out.
Mr. Foust sounds like you have suffer from envy of beautiful successful blonde American women. These woman you are attempting to defame have provided their offspring with better lifestyles than you could ever hope to afford yourself or your offspring. Your article is not only petty but unnecessarily cruel. If you do not like these woman then change the channel and stop watching them. Pay attention to someone in your own "league" and stop trying to create a name for yourself by criticizing those who would never grant you an interview anyway.
I agree with Julian, this blog is repugnant and clearly the writer is completely devoid of anything resembling human decency, but oft this is the case, the ugly of soul paint everyone else with the same brush. That's the only way they can live with themselves - unfortunately, they have no problem sharing their insipid behavior with the rest of us.
My beloved readers and friends, unfortunately, my opinion of this particular celebrity doesn't differ from most celebrities out there. However, Anna Nicole Smith has proven to be one of the most lame of even the lamest out there.
To put it bluntly...she has no talent, no responsibility, no morals, and no sense of ethical behaviour. If you feel that she would make a good role model for your little girls, so be it. To me, she is nothing but a sad example of the kinds of people our bored society likes to glamorize. Sure, she's attractive, but what else does she bring to the table? Drugs, porn, cheating and stealing her way to success. Hell...I don't like Paris Hilton any more, but at least she didn't squander her fortune from a hard-working, near-dead oil tycoon!
Quite reasonably, most would agree to any of those things at any other time I could've posted any article about her. However, now that she has "suffered a loss" in her life, apparently, now she has gained the respect of the world. Or at least, with you three.
It sheds light of how ficle most peoples' opinions can be, but it doesn't change the truth of the subject matter. If your brother is a lying, cheating, wife-beating asshole, and he suffers the loss of a leg in a serous car accident....he's still a lying, cheating, wife-beating asshole. Only, with one less leg.
Pretty simple.
I'll let you all get back to your sobbing though. I'm sure the starving children in India, the AIDS-stricken people of Africa, and the oppressed citizens of North Korea will understand if you have to take seom precsious time away to pray for Anna Nicole Smith.

One need not approve of a person's behavior to show them compassion in a time of need or dire tragedy. Decent people understand this.
I'll keep both Ms. Smith and you, Mr. Foust, in my prayers.
