Al-Qaeda plays right into the hands of the Left. In his latest address to our leader and our nation, he challenges 'ole Dubya to "come out and tell the truth." He sites that Bush has been lying about the success (or lack thereof) in Iraq and Afghanistan, where we currently have active anti-terrorism military operations in progress. He then goes onto prove (through his own ability to broadcast this very message) that Bush's War on Terror has been ineffective. Now, color me confused....but these are the guys who openly (and proudly) took full responsibilty for 9-11, the most devastating terror attack on United States soil since Pearl Harbor. The ignorance is his reason for broadcasting this message is quite clear, when you step outside of the box. He's quick to call Bush a failure, yet feels the if Bush "admits to it" it will supossedly change anything. Assuming that Bush is lying about anything, what would it change in the course of the war on terror? This guy's broadcast, and his organization in general is proving that we SHOULD be fighting this war. Well...not according to the types of people that his address is really playing toward. Another thing that's plainly obvious, and MOST upsetting to me, is that these guys are watching U.S. politics as closely as most Americans are. Surley, they see the divide amongst us as we do. Surley, they look to Bill Clinton, a President that literally let these guys run wild "as long as they didn't bother us", and his constant attempt to call out Bush on his "lies". As with all the celebrities and most people who simply take everything they read to be gospel. (i.e. George Bush is a liar because that's what everybody says...including ex-preidents, and therefore it MUST be true!!) They have resorted to the same childish, unlogical name-calling that the rest of the liberals have. What does that say in and of itself? Sadly....it's these same people who know who their enemy is, and that's why it's Bush that they seek to scorn. He's not challenging Clinton or Susan Sarrandon, is he? Hmmm....me wonders why??? For so long, conservatives have been asking what side the liberals were really on. Looks like the enemy has answered that question by taking the very same stance on the issue as Mr. Clinton and all his liberal friends have. Point taken. They realize that Americans have truly dumbed themselves down to bickering over an alleged lie, while the enemies still exist....and goad us in the process. We continue to protest the very war in which seeks to eliminate the power of these types, while they watch and most likely laugh at us. This remains one of the reason why the people who voted for Bush don't care if the war was intiated through a "lie" or not. It had to be done, and no other President had the balls to do it. It's not successful, and it will never fully relenquish these extremists. Yet, what's the opposing mentallity? Quit.....bring home the troops....impeach Bush...dismantle the military...and pretend that Al-Qaeda wont ever bother us any more?? We've got gays to marry and homeless crack addicts who need financial aide, after all. At least for today, I'm still proud to be an American. -W.
