24 Dead In Nepal Crash

The wreckage of the Nepal helicopter that went down last week was finally found on the morning of Monday the 25th. After rescue crews were constantly hampered by bad weather, a helicopter and ground crews were finally able to find the wreckage 2 km southwest of Ghunsa, a village in Taplejung district, about 300 km (190 miles) east of the capital, Katmandu. There were no survivors of the crash and among the dead are 17 Nepalese, a Finnish diplomat, two Americans, a Canadian an Australian and two Russians. The helicopter was chartered by the World Wildlife Fund. No word yet on what the direct cause of the crash was.
