What's it like to work for a North Korean Psychopath? I 'll shoe you in. Accdording to one if the freshest blogs in the Asian Sphere CHINA RISING (with a nod to CHINA LAW BLOG) those rumors you heard about the North Korean Army eating like kings while the peasants starve might not be so accurate. Ill Jung Kim's boys (If you asked yourself if that was a typo' then you have not been reading my blog long. Welcome!) were seen marching just across the Chinese border and 5 of 20 of them did not have shoes on! Tim Johnson, the China correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers, identified them as North Korean Soldiers or youth paramilitary group who had been working on a bridge and then marched away carrying a Korean flag. Boy Scouts getting their Workers of the World merit badge? Now I remember many days when I would have traded my jump boots for Hush Puppies, but not on gravel. If they are eating better than their civilian counterparts perhaps the footwear was seasoning. I dont know Tim's bio', but I am guessing he wasn't a combat arms soldier if he was in the service. He thought it was a pitiful scene. I like his blog and his writing, but here we diverge: Anyone who who would shoot me, or march on rocks, based on the orders of a psychopathic world menace gets my respect as a soldier, but never my pity.
