China's Apprentice Show Turns High Drama Win in China is a hybrid cross between the Apprentice and Survivor and brutalizes 36 contestants with physically and mentally challenging tasks like hiking up the Great Wall in heat so bad the Mongolians would have surrendered long before they reached it. The show's stakes are huge: Win and you get 10,000,000 Yuan to start your own company (Over 1 Million U.S. dollars) and a 20% ownership stake in the venture. That is the up side. The bad news: One competitor was so disheartened about losing he wrote a suicide note on the show's blog (I am so amazed by the number of uses for a blog these days) and is now missing.
