Bonds' Personal Trainer Jailed After He Refuses to Testify Before Grand Jury By VOA Sports 06 July 2006 The personal trainer for Major League Baseball slugger Barry Bonds has been jailed after he refused to testify to a federal grand jury in San Francisco, California. Greg Anderson was escorted from a courtroom Wednesday for a contempt of court charge. Anderson will be set free when the grand jury's term expires in just a few weeks. He earlier served three months in prison after pleading guilty last year for his role in the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative steroid scandal. The grand jury is investigating Bonds for perjury. The San Francisco Giants star may have given false testimony to the original BALCO grand jury in December 2003, when Bonds said he never knowingly used steroids or other banned performance enhancing drugs.
