CHINA'S MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE MAY BE YOU! ![]() This news is dated by a few days, but I have mulled it over and need to comment. Wolf, R-Va., chairman of the House subcommittee that finances State Department operations, must still be using an abacus to pay his bills. This brain trust of a human pulled a legislative fire alarm after when he learned that the US Government planned to use Lenovo computers in 900+ computers potentially dedicated to classified work and at U.S. embassies and consulates abroad. That, he said, possibly could give China access to classified U.S. information. After much ado about much of nothing the US allowed Lenovo, one of China's true success stories, to purchase their PC Division for about 1.9 Billion US Dollars. Now, Wolf frets that Lenovo computers might contain malware that could let the Chinese government in on US secrets, so the computers are relegated to doing non-classified work only. ![]() I had a flashback to a time in the States when I had an office next to a quack that diagnosed Aids patients by holding a crystal close to their genitalia. I know more than one kid who confessed his sexual preference to family and friends before finding out that he was HIV negative via hospital testing. The same "doctor," a guy we called Plaugenhoff, put a mandala under my computer one morning to keep it from being invaded by secret Russian transmissions. Welcome to an elite club Wolf. So, scrap your MACs and the whole of your PC stash, even the Japanese ones, because parts of them all are made in China. Some farmer in Chengdu probably knows your bank account information or the Communist Party is subliminally teaching you Mandarin through invisible screen messages or worse yet: Chinglish.
