The urge to punish rather than to engage strikes me as the height of folly in relating to the Israeli/Palestinian need to face facts and reconcile themselves to each other. Needless to say each side distrusts the other and has much healing to accomplish. Undermining attacks simply exacerbate such situations. Any school yard graduate knows this.
