THE HEROIN WEDDING  Courtesy of a VERY funny site ENGRISH.COM comes what could be the mellowest wedding in history. Take a look at the caption and then to sober you up, look at the price tag. Of course, this is not too bad considering your friends foot the bill: if you get invited (cringe) to a Japanese wedding you are told how much you are expected to "give" to the couple. This helps fund the elaborate weddings that reach pretty easily over $100,000 Us Dollars. Many Chinese, on the other hand, have a great dinner with the family and then head for the courthouse to register the marriage. It is easier even than getting hitched in Vegas at an Elvis drive-through chapel. This "heroin wedding" doesn't rise to the level of one of my favorites, but it is good: I once saw a sign at a temple in Japan that asked you to "ring the bell and crap three times" to get your petition granted by the gods.
