Finnish Rockers Win Eurovision By VOA News 21 May 2006 Finnish rock band Lordi has won the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, Greece. The group, wearing latex monster masks beat 23 other competitors with their song 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' Russia's Dima Bilan took second in the 51st annual music competition. Viewers in 38 European countries voted by phone and text messages on the contest. Past winners include the group ABBA, and Celine Dion, a Canadian who won while representing Switzerland.
