SOURCING WITH CHINA MADE EASY

by Lonnie Hodge

'CANTON

Guangdong Province is responsible for 1/3 of China's GNP. The Canton Trade Fair plays no small part in this.

More and more factories are courting inventors and smaller businesses in an attempt to compete with the big boys who have contracts with the likes of the Wallmart and Target. It is more than possible at the Canton Trade fair.

The 99th Session of the Canton Trade Fair will happen this month. I thought you might like to see some of the more interesting details of the upcoming exhibition:

The fair schedule and products category are as follows:

Phase I: April 15th -20th, 2006

Pazhou Complex: Industrial Products

Liuhua Complex: Textiles & Garments, Medicines & Health Products

Phase II: April 25th-30th, 2006

Pazhou Complex: Consumer Goods

Liuhua Complex: Gifts

Fair Interval: April 21th-24th, 2006

The Fair will have over 13,000 outstanding Chinese exhibitors which will display 150,000 kinds of products on a net exhibition area of about 263,000 square meters. The exhibition’s information is available now at www.cantonfair.org.cn.

At the Autumn Fair of 2005, nearly 180,000 buyers from 210 countries and regions attended the CECF and the trade volume reached 29.43 billion ($29,430,000,000) US dollars.

An amazing achievement.

Serious business people feeling as though they cannot attend because of cultural or comunication apprehensions may contact me and I will put you in touch, at no cost, with inexpensive, experienced guides or interpreters that can facilitate your stay in Guangzhou.

Leave a comment at OMB. with your contact details. They will not be published.
