Michael Schiavo's Book to Become Movie

From a LifeNews.com article:

Hollywood, CA (LifeNews.com) -- A group of Hollywood producers have purchased the rights to Michael Schiavo's book to produce what will likely be a biased, one-sided movie on his victorious legal battle in his efforts to euthanize his former wife Terri.

According to Variety, a group of four producers, including Mike Farrell and Lawrence Bender, purchased the movie rights to the book, Terri: The Truth. The movie could either appear in theaters or be a made-for-television special.

Remember when the Clarence Thomas hearings were being held when he was nominated for the Supreme Court? When Anita Hill accussed him of sexual harrassment, all kinds of testimony came out, and America got to watch it live on their televisions.

After seeing for themselves what the whole story was, every poll showed a large majority of Americans believed Clarence Thomas.

Cut to around a year later, after the media put their spin on the story day after day, and suddenly you had Americans believing Anita instead. The truth became so twisted and distorted, and unfortunately, not only do most people have short memories, but they believe what the media tells them, too. And the media kept telling them repeatedly that Anita was right until they believed it themselves.

American didn't get to see the real Terri Schiavo story. There were no live hearings, no congressional testimony. So it's been an uphill battle to get the truth to the public as it is.

Now this news? The public is going to see a monster portrayed as a hero and they're going to buy it. They're going to see a woman with dignity and rights who laughed, smiled and responded to her environment as a worthless piece of disposable garbage that "died with dignity" (i.e. was starved to death, but you won't get to see the suffering from that, I'm sure).

I am beyond disgusted.
