A Lesson in Victimhood from Your Neighborhood Gay Activist
I have this nifty little homosexual manifesto right next to my Bible. I heard it said that Christians should read the paper next to the Bible everyday so they know what each side is up to. Well, I read not only the papers, but also this little homosexual manifesto. Which incidentally you can buy online anytime, lest you think I'm making this up. The following story is linked on Ex-Gay Watch (of course), and it's a perfect example of the victimhood phoney civil rights card the MGA (militant gay activists) like to play.
Now before we go any further with this victimization tactic from the MHA, note the following (1) These homosexuals VANDALIZED public property. Yet none of them were arrested for their public vandalism. But I bet you that if a Christian had put a bumpersticker that said Christians only all over public property, every single Christian involved would have been arrested and slapped with some form of a lawsuit. Note (2) - These homosexual vandals would only speak to the news on the condition of anonymity. Why? What do these vandals have to be afraid of? Are they not proud of their lawbreaking tactics, their vandalism and hate speech against society? Nope, that's not it - speaking anonymously gives them more power as victims. Even though THEY ARE THE ONES VANDALIZING PUBLIC PROPERTY AND BREAKING THE LAW!
There ya go - the MHA have taken on the form of this fake discrimination, and if I were black, I would be totally offended and insulted. Do you see the victimhood in this tactic? The militants have made themselves equal to a person who cannot change their skin color. Which is a very stupid tactic when you think about it because homosexuality is changeable and no one is born gay. On page 183 of Kirk and Madsen's book they outline this tactic - Principle 5: Portray Gays As Victims, Not As Aggressive Challengers (Note you can also read a full chapter beginning on page 73 about how they use the Civil Rights agenda to promote their victimhood)
Note: The media that covered this story took the bait, hook, line and sinker. They protected the identity of the homosexual vandalizers.
Note the following tactics as outlined in our chosen article promoting homosexuals as the victims, even though in reality they are the perpetrators. These militant homosexual activists are trying to jam and convert normal heterosexuals into buying into their sexual lifestyle choice. They used the jamming technique by vandalizing public property and placing these bumperstickers all over the place. They are trying to convert the normal heterosexual into believing that they are an oppressed minority who is a second class citizen. Sadly, the media that covered the story was suckered in. My goal is to help you see that you do not need to be suckered in to believing these deceitful lies. Are you beginning to get the picture? I hope so. Stacy L. You're really obsessed aren't you?
Tell me, what have the gays taken away from you that makes you so worried about them?
Stacy, I applaud your spirit, but am appalled by your bias. I’ll address my concerns with your inaccurate portrayal of “Homosexual Activists” as they appear in your blog.
Kirk & Maddens’s book “After the Ball” is a book, not a manifesto followed by Gays and Lesbians far and wide. No more than “Stormfront White Pride World Wide” is a blog site that all Whites in the world read daily. Gay men and women are not united in a “club” or “organization” to promote homosexuality. They are individuals trying to live their lives. They are Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and other groups too numerous to mention. Some have families, some don’t. Some are in longstanding committed relationships, others aren’t. There are as many types of homosexuals as there are heterosexuals.
Well, you are correct. Vandalism is vandalism. But these stickers, per the local police force, easily came off with out damaging anything they were put on. Nothing was damaged, plain and simple…. I think you’re overreacting on this point.
“Anonymity—a tool for the “Homosexual Activist”? Apparently you’ve never been threatened, beat up or have a family member killed for being you. Gay men and women are frequently abused for being who they are.
“Are they not proud of their lawbreaking tactics, their vandalism and hate speech against society?” What was the “Hate Speech”? Or do you consider anything that isn’t exactly as you believe to be “Hate Speech”?
“The militants have made themselves equal to a person who cannot change their skin color”. Which is a very stupid tactic when you think about it because homosexuality is changeable and no one is born gay.” They are as God made them, at birth; no choice is made to “take up” a homosexual lifestyle. It’s not a choice. One must not “Bear False Witness” and banter, “homosexuality is changeable and no one is born gay”. The statement is totally false. Proven by the majority of Psychologists in the world.
When I was growing up the these United States, I remember many people, Christians, their Ministers, and many white people stating as fact that “Coloreds are less than whites, lazy and less intelligent”. Many ministers used the Bible to justify their hatred and bigotry against blacks. I remember not being able to sit at a soda fountain’s counter, because the color of my skin. I am not at all offended by comparing Black Civil Rights to Gay Civil Rights.
I do support Dr. Martin Luther King’s statement that the majority should not be trusted to look out for the rights of a minority. The majority of the US South stood for segregation. It took many people to convince the majority to accept their “victimhood”.
I’m unclear on your statement “process of conversion by helping straights identify with gays and sympathize with their underdog status.” Conversion to what? Being gay? Or agreeing that Gays should have the same rights as all other Americans?
Sexual lifestyle choice. As much of a choice as being left-handed, a leftie can write with their right hand, but they are wired to be left-handed.
As for your last statement. I see no lies, other than stating homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. I did see “the Picture”, your composition represents opinions as truth.
Are you gay? I do not understand how you can comment on something you know nothing about. One day God will come down and He will reach out to His entire HUMAN RACE...the first humans He will touch are the humans that Society has outlawed. Your laws mean nothing to me. My laws are God's laws...Do Unto Others.
I'm old enough to recall a time when the rap on homosexuals was that they were to immature and unstable to form lasting attachments. Now that you've got gays in lasting attachments, the "Christians" turn around and say the problem with them homos is they want to get married.
Let's face it, the Stacy L. Harps of the world are haters. There's nothing anyone can do to satisfy people like her unless they go hide away in shame, or deny their nature and enter into a loveless heterosexual "marriage," which is truly a sham.
The question is why are so many Christians so hateful, in direct contradiction to the words of Jesus Christ, who they pretend to worship?
Funny. Those passages could easily be describing the Christian Right's pretense of Victimhood. Substitute the word Christian for Homosexual and you've got today's Christian Right.
I wonder how the blogger would enjoy that comparison, as he reads his Bible in a bought of moral superiority?
You say:
"I bet you that if a Christian had put a bumpersticker that said Christians only all over public property, every single Christian involved would have been arrested and slapped with some form of a lawsuit."
Are you implying that all heterosexuals should have been arrested and slapped with some sort of lawsuit?
I think you mean to say, "If a Christian had put up a bumpersticker that said 'Jewish Folk Only' all over public property, every single Jewish person involved would have been arrested and slapped with some form of a lawsuit."
Remember, the GAY folks put up the "HET ONLY" sign.
Your anology: it's not a very well thought out, is it? But then none of your reasoning seems to make sense.
I think the wingnut doth protest too much . . . ya silly!
As a recovering Christian Conservative who worked for Jesse Helms as must say it's my former "brethren" who seem to play the "victim" card more than any other group..."..Boo Hoo..they didn't wish me merry christmas at walmart". Further, I'll take your bet, follow me around town and I'll show you "jesus saves" painted on everything in the town in which i live, along with "We Still Pray" bumper stickers stuck on payphones and...Oh yea, thats another one of the persecutions..."the government won't let us poor old (control the house, control the senate, control the white house and supreme court) persecuted christions PRAY"...Oh my Lord thank you jesus you delivered me from these people.
The CHRISTIANS are being persecuted? In what country? Surely you don't mean in the U.S., where they're busy doing most of the persecuting.
By "Christians" I, of course, mean the Bible-thumping, homo-hating, "do-as-I-say" Evangelicals, and NOT the people who actually try to live in the spirit of the true Jesus Christ, who is forgiveness and peace personified...
Mixter
My goodness. I'm not sure why black people should be offended by the comparison of the current circumstance of gay people in the US to the former status of African Americans. Certainly, no one can change their skin colour, and perhaps sexuality is a choice, but what's so relevant about not being able to change? If black people could change their skin colour, would you demand that they do that, and prevent those who want to keep their skin colour dark from using water fountains meant for white people or entering into marriages? And if you would, what possible justification could you give? The reality is that you *privilege* heterosexuality. And it is this privilege that you are trying to hold on to. That is most shameful: bigotry is always about the desire to hold on to privilege.
Since you're on a "Christians versus gay people" kick, I expect you to substantiate your bias by citing the exact words of Jesus Christ (who you supposedly follow as your example) regarding homosexuals.
Um, I'm waiting…
Oh, that's right -- Jesus never said anything to condemn gay people, did he?
On the other hand, he had plenty to say about those who don't love their neighbors as themselves, or those who cast judgement, or those who pursue hatred is His name.
In all likelihood, Jesus is indeed looking down on the world today and weeping. And it's not about the gays, dear.
Thou doth protest too much.
it's the religious right in the US who are playing the victim card... saying that Christianity is being discriminated against and removed from public expression while they're enjoying tax-exempt status... what a joke...
Tell ya what. You tell me where to put the "Christians Only" stickers and I will do it, since it makes exactly the same point as the "heteros only" stickers. I will gladly risk a fine, etc. Please, tell me, so you can take that particular "poor me" off of your poor, persecuted Christian shoulders, and I'll take that terrible risk you speak of myself.
And really, if you were black, you'd be offended? Huh. Because we all know there is no such thing as a gay black person.
By the way, have you ever been denied a job solely because you are a heterosexual? How about a lease? Have you lost custody of your kid because you are hetero? How about told you cannot foster or adopt or receive in vitro help? Have you had your head bashed into a locker, been jumped in the street, had your tires slashed, because you are hetero? Have you been denied the right to marry the person you love? Have you been told you can't see your partner's kids, because you are hetero? How about refused medical help, because you are hetero?
Never? Then what the HELL do you know about what gay people face?
