BUDDHA IS MISSING Ram Bahadur Banjan in neighboring Nepal is 15 and thought to be, by his followers, the reincarnation of the Buddha. He disappeared into the jungle near Bara, 100 miles south of Kathmandu, Saturday. Gautama Siddhartha (Buddha) was also born in Nepal around 500 B.C.. The boy has reportedly been meditating, cross legged for ten months straight without, according to his "associates." any food or water. His clothes were found not far from the tented area where he has been on display, under a roped-off lean-to about 80 feet away, during daylight hours since May 17, 2005. A police official, said eyewitnesses reported him heading south before dawn. His clothes were found near his meditation area. There has been no evidence of foul play. All jokes aside for a moment I do hope he is safe.. Even if he is some special messenger, sent to in an ancient paradise now troubled by rebellion and crime, he is someone's fifteen year old child. While most of us think it is too much trouble to get off the couch to put on clothes or to change channels maybe he went off naked in search of further enlightenment. Maybe it's a shorter walk than we thought to Nirvana.
