An Australian Cartoon  Yep. It's a Muslim being portrayed with a bomb. Enough to make any Muslim go crazy? One would think so. But it is from Brisbane's "Courier Mail" newspaper in my home State of Queensland. The cartoon refers to a recent story to the effect that "deprogramming" of fanatical Muslims is being considered in Australia. Apparently the cartoonist thinks that Jehovah's Witnesses could be used as deprogrammers. No reaction to the cartoon so far. It seems to me to be pretty brave (and definitely "incorrect") of the paper to print it. They run the risk of having people coming up to your door and if you dare to sen them away, they'll blow the crap out of you with an RPG.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I think the cartoon is funny, now if only we could "deprogram the fanatical racist in Australian society so that all arabs are not perceived as terrorists?
Racists brains need a good scrubbing.

People need deprograming after a stint with the Jehovah's Witnesses, so I do not feel they would be effective in deprograming anyone. Their area of expertise is "brainwashing".
Now, if we can only come up with a way to deprogram rix, we can contribute to helping the Aussie economy, since this nitwit is either athiest, or ignorant

After you visit come back and tell me who were "brainwashed", the Jehovah's Witnesses or German society that supported National Socialism, 6 million dead Jews, 20 million dead Russians and millions of dead Serbs, Roma, Croatian, French, English, Americans in WWII. If their brains were "washed" fascism was washed out.
Rix, just as in the past I would suggest that there are many who need "therapy" far more than JW's do, the Iraq War proves that IMO. Modern day Hitler fantasies of ruling the world tend to get ones hands bloodstained. Participation and support of futile wars will "mess up the Aussie economy" not tolerance for Jehovah's Christian Witnesses.
Danny, why do you feel oppressed? Jehovah gave you free will so use it just as Adam or Jesus did. Jehovah won't stop you. Also, those that choose to follow him will not try to "oppress" you. It's a free world and you can make decisions and live with the consequences, and if you are brave and strong enough you won't whine about the consequences. On the other hand if you decide you are not "Danny Almighty" we both know Jehovah is merciful to the imperfect.
