THEY SHOULD THANK GOD DAILY FOR DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY: AMERICAN TEACHER MURDERED IN GUANGZHOU CHINA "Darren Russell was murdered in Guangzhou, China on April 14th, 2005. He would be alive today if it were not for the apparent negligence of our U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou." A friend emailed me a link to a story now nearly a year old. It is a site created by the mother of a former foreign expert from America. He was teaching in Guangzhou at the time he died. I am sorry I did not find it sooner. She doesn't want money or sympathy. She just wants the truth about her child's death. I am convinced her version of the story is real and her handling by the Late Department parallells many of my own experieces with them. That is another post for another time. Today I suspend cartoons or commentary in a sadly late memorial.
