Cheney Can't Win Now think about it for a minute. If Cheney had done what the media wanted him to do, contact them right away, they would've said he was a cold-hearted person who cared more about PR than his friend whom he just shot! But, instead, he did the right thing. He wasn't thinking about the media. He was thinking about his friend. Wouldn't you? Especially if you'd accidentally caused his injuries? I'm sure he was in a panic and the last thing he needed to worry about was putting together a statement, or even having someone else put one together for him, while he was tending to his injured friend. Either way he loses with the media.
