Rapper Eminem Remarries Ex-Wife The pair married for the first time in 1999, ending that union in 2001 amid a bitter struggle for custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Hailie. In the five years since, the rapper purchased a lavish home in Oakland Township, a suburb of Detroit. His ex-wife moved into the home soon after, and they have spent their time caring for their daughter. While 35 media representatives from many major magazines and news outlets waited by the barricade for word about the nuptials, fans gathered for a glimpse of the star. Many rap and hiphop stars attended the wedding, including 50-Cent and members of the Detroit band D12.
