MiLord Alito? Alito sat there, day after day, refusing to answer any questions, stopping just short of checking his watch to see how much longer he had to tolerate these peasants. He knew he was going to be nominated. He knows he's going to be appointed. He knows that he'd be appointed if he held up a fetus poster and shouted "All hail Pat Robertson!" Why didn't he do us, the American people, the courtesy of telling us where he stands? Is he implying that a majority of Senators would vote against him if they knew his mind? Is he implying that Congress and the people have no more need/right to know his mind than they do to know military secrets? Why didn't he answer? These hearings are where the American people get their one and only look at a new Supreme Court judge. Their one chance to size him up, learn his nature. And yet he couldn't help but show total disdain for the whole process. Congress, pah. Not a good sign for a future servant of the people.
