Chocolate New Orleans

"Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after huricane after hurricane . . ." Who do you suppose said this, Pat Robertson? Of course not. If he'd said it, it would be wallpapered in the mainstream media ad nauseum. But since it was actually Ray Nagin, black mayor of New Orleans, he probably won't be ridiculed as a religious wack job drooling to impose theocracy on a defenseless nation. And there's more! "It's time for us to rebuild New Orleans, the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans. This city will be a majority African American city. It's the way God wants it to be." It was a colorful way for Hizoner to help mark MLK Day, but do you think the mayor of Des Moines could get away with declaring God's desire to keep his city mostly vanilla?
