This book is one that I have been looking forward to for quite some time. At long last it seems ready to hit the shelves of bookstores later this week. Fact, as the saying goes, is stranger than fiction. This story certainly lays testament to that thought. “On the morning of June 2, 1981, two [...]

A couple of days ago I published a short article about Damien Lewis and his very soon to be published new book Zero Six Bravo. I have had time to digest the story, and maybe more importantly get a little of the back story from the author. Lets start with Damien Lewis. He has something [...]

There is little doubt that the hot commodity in the US book and film world are dramatization’s of recent military actions. It is very rare that I quote from a Press Release, but (very) occasionally there is an eloquent comment that cannot be ignored. Filmmakers Jackie and Mark Barrett take viewers on a journey through the British Isles and across America in discovery of a magical new breed of horse, the Gypsy Vanner. It’s a story [...]

Ah yes. It’s time for the yearly “War on Christmas”. Right wing rhetoric? Well, it’s a way to sell newspapers…. What has changed in the last ten years is that it is now politically correct to ridicule Christian belief. Yet the latest report is over the top: One NBC Medical Expert named Dr. Snyderman has [...]

The movie industry is a strange one. Less that 1% of the movies made get over 99% of the attention. Personally I tend to avoid the movies in the theater, big names, big budgets, and big disappointments. I much prefer to play in the world of the indie film maker. These are people who put [...]

I will be the first to admit that I am not much of a horse fan, as a child one stood on my foot, so I much prefer to view them from a distance. They are however wonderfully graceful animals. Watching them move is a joy in fluid motion. Well unless you are sat on [...]

World War II has spawned thousands of books and movies. Many of which are disturbing. How can man be so cruel to his fellow man? In the Thursday, October 18, 2012, segment of Dr. Phil show, Cherokee Nation Attorney Christi Nemmo refused to admit 2-year old Veronica had only a drop of Cherokee blood, but she also doesn’t deny it. She doesn’t answer the question because she knows people would be horrified. She tries to make the argument that it’s not about how a child looks or how much blood the child has, but that they have a right to be part of the Cherokee tribe.
