BBG Watch Commentary. U.S. government-funded Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) still broadcasts uncensored radio programs in local languages to the largely Muslim North Caucasus region in the Russian Federation, the reported home of the Boston bombing suspects. But if U.S. government bureaucrats and the Obama Administration had their way, these broadcasts, which include [...]

“The Tribal Elder who observed two little boys engaging in ____ ____in her yard did call police immediately. No one in law enforcement took her statement. She tried to tell her story at the February 27, 2013 Hearing but she was shushed by the US Attorney, the BIA leadership and all of those on the platform. The US Attorney did say publicly that he would speak to her privately after the Hearing concluded. He did not. Nor did anyone from his office take her statement. How did these actions protect children?

The latest episode of the “Consider This!†podcast is out. Conservative commentary in 10 minutes or less. It appears that newly elected Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is a listener to “Consider This!†How do I know? I suggest a $20 minimum wage as a thought experiment in episode 31, and now she’s one-up’ing me, suggesting $22. [...]

She said she was first given to a man at the age of ten. Her sisters were also given to men. She told how she begged to be allowed to return to the only family she had ever felt safe with – the foster family that the tribe, through ICWA, had taken her from. She told how she tried to run away over a dozen times – to get back to the foster home where she knew she was loved. She told how the home where the tribal govt placed her made her destroy pictures of the family she loved, and how they had cut a rope to save her when she had tried to hang herself. It was only then that they finally allowed her to return to her true home.

I think South Carolina Democrats have a lot to cheer about if Mark Sanford is seriously considering running for Congress. I think South Carolina Conservatives, if they want to win that seat, can do better. The primary issue is the one everyone will be talking about, and I think it’s a fair issue that goes [...]

The fight between the NRA and the Obama administration is just political fog. The “excuse” is because of several high profile mass murders, yet the real problem is that the press publicizes and glorifies such murders, leading to “copy cat” crimes by the unstable. One has to wonder at dear old Joe Biden’s remark, justifying [...]

Living outside the USA, I wonder if I would recognize my birthland if I return someday. We now see the NYTimes proposing that “we” get rid of the US constitution, which is standing in the way of what “we” want to do. AS the nation teeters at the edge of fiscal chaos, observers are reaching [...]

After the shooting in Newtown, CT, I noticed on Facebook many people asking that the country have a “conversation†about guns. Now typically, that’s a request for some sort of dialog. However, a few of those asking for that proceeded to immediately disparage anyone who would disagree in the slightest with more restrictive gun laws. [...]

The report on the Benghazi attack attracted attention today for two reason, the first being that failures were identified and no one in particular was singled out for responsibility, the second being that resignations began within hours of the public getting the news. Important parts of this investigation, and the changes that result, or do [...]

Ah yes. If you even tried to question the original spin of the Obama administration that the attack on the Benghazi mission was about an X rated porn film clumsily redubbed to seem as if was about the Prophet, you are an evil Republican trying to politicize national defense. That spin managed to silence Romney, [...]

Everything in the news seems to be hyperventillation about politics. What is worse, it seems to be about trivia that have little or nothing to do with the world wide economic problems, or about trying to fix them. (e.g. a friend on facebook dissing Ryan’s marathon speed instead of the details of his budget). So [...]
