High-quality English language analysis and editorial writing on the news.
Sharon Secor is a freelance writer who spends part of her time in upstate New York and the rest of her time where her writing takes her. Her journey into freelance writing was inspired by Christine de Pisan (1364-1429), a widow and writer of social commentary who, in addition to being one of France’s earliest well-known female authors, was able to support her children through her writing. Ms. Secor read her first college level psychology textbook in the fourth grade, along with the feminist literature of the era, beginning what has proved to be a lifelong passion for the humanities and social sciences. Ms. Secor is gradually working towards completing a double major in Journalism and Spanish – preparation for writing for both English and Spanish language markets about social and economic issues in Latin America, as influenced by increased industrialization and the global marketplace. As an anarchist and single parent, she also devotes her time to practicing resistance and raising revolutionaries.
While BloggerNews.net is known to provide up to the minute information on a wide variety of topics, at times a more in-depth analysis of a topic that is being written about by our writers is warranted. This section of BNN provides just that – an area of the site that looks deeper into a topic, delves into the actual facts behind it, and provides more than just a summary overview of what is happening right here and now.
From something as mundane as an overview of how credit scores work, to life and death topics such as mesothelioma, we are committed to creating a growing library of information for our readers. Click below to review the topics covered so far, and check back soon as new ones are to be added regularly!

BloggerNews.net would like to thank and congratulate our Blogger of the Month for the month of May 2008 – The Stiletto for her fantastic political coverage over the past month!
The Stiletto comes from a broken home. Not broken in the commonly understood sense, but broken in the red state-blue state sense.
Like many Americans, The Stiletto’s family is a mixed bag: Multicultural, multiracial, multiethnic, multinational, ecumenical, and includes members who are gay (in-laws, but still).
The Stiletto loves them all – albeit, at a distance in election years – so anyone who disagrees with her opinions had better refrain from recklessly lobbing accusations of racism, homophobia, jingoism or imperialism.
The Stiletto blogs about politics and … you name it, since these days everything has become politicized at http://thestilettoblog.com.
