High-quality English language analysis and editorial writing on the news.
Born in Berkeley, CA August 17, 1928; A little over a year later, the stock market crashed on Wall Street, but I claim no resposibility. We were in Seattle. I never saw Babe Ruth play, but Willie Mays was a favorite, and if Seattle had had a Major League ball club in the 1930's and after, I probably would have seen both of them. I grew up in Seattle, went to Korea with the US Army of Occupation in 1947. Returned to school at the University of Washington (B.A. '52), worked as a newsman for three years in a town (Richland, WA) adjacent to the Hanford Atomic Energy Plant. Did graduate work and taught English and American Lit and Creative Writing at Seattle University ('61-'94) completing an elderly (57) Ph.D. at Indiana U of Pennsylvania in '83. In my teaching years I published poetry and criticism. In retirement now, I ihave published a novel, "The Mind Keepers," and am working with an agency on publishing a Child's Novella "Tom Timpkins and the Mirrors of Fame." Short articles for on line publications are also in the works. I hope to join all of you on BNN.

While BloggerNews.net is known to provide up to the minute information on a wide variety of topics, at times a more in-depth analysis of a topic that is being written about by our writers is warranted. This section of BNN provides just that – an area of the site that looks deeper into a topic, delves into the actual facts behind it, and provides more than just a summary overview of what is happening right here and now.
From something as mundane as an overview of how credit scores work, to life and death topics such as mesothelioma, we are committed to creating a growing library of information for our readers. Click below to review the topics covered so far, and check back soon as new ones are to be added regularly!
