I have lived in the Downtown Eastside neighborhood of Vancouver, B.C. for 20 years.

I write original articles on local topics, generally topics not covered in the mainstream media. Some of these local topics may be of interest to the wider world as the Downtown Eastside is the location of North America's first Safe Injection Site and heroin give-away project -- both of which seem to have been granted immunity from criticism in the local mainstream media.

Vancouver is also the site of the upcoming the 2010 Winter Olympics.
