FreeMediaOnline.org has launched  a new web  page devoted entirely to reports on Poland and media issues with free news, video, audio and text articles for independent journalists and bloggers. The web page features the international media FREE video feed  with the latest  news stories about Poland. This feed may be placed by journalists and bloggers on their web sites at without any royalty payments. Poland & Media is managed by FreeMediaOnline.org president Ted Lipien who has more than 30 years of experience in reporting about Poland (see bio).

Presenting this initiative, Lipien wrote: “I will try to offer significant and authoritative news and analysis dealing with Polish media issues. Even though Poland is now a democracy, it does not have a strong tradition of independent and nonpartisan journalism. The revelations of an ex-minister in the Polish government that Poland’s intelligence services spied on journalists and earlier news reports about Polish military intelligence recruiting journalists as agents are therefore not surprising. The current right-of-center government as well as the previous left-wing government have tried to subvert journalists and threatened them with libel suits. On the FreeMediaOnline.org Poland & Media page we have posted the latest protest from Reporters Without Borders. The Paris-based organization is concerned by the Polish government’s treatment of journalists and press freedom.
