Deyda Hydara’s Killers Finally Named-NIA Official releases scary and damning report!!

Interior Minister Ousman Sonko, Major Musa Jammeh, alias Maliamongu, Late Captain Tumbul Tamba and Lieutenant Kawsu Camara, alias Bombaredeh killed Deyda Hydara-NIA operative alleges!!

“President Jammeh ordered the murder of Hydara.”

“Shortly before Deyda was killed, a planned assassination attempt was made on Jawo’s life while he was attending a conference at the Sindola Hotel in Kanilai. When that attempt failed, Jammeh vowed to deal with his killers then led by our present Interior Minister Ousman Sonko if the attempt on Hydara’s life fails. Hydara was since then put under surveillance by our men in the military to piece together where and when he goes home, out and to. Among the preparations for the mission was the painting of a Mercedes Benz purportedly belonging to Jammeh with a taxi color. I sometime ago said here that the taxi will never be spotted because it has long since been deposited. However, when Jammeh was told that The Point newspaper was to celebrate its thirteenth birthday on December 16, 2004, he promises to give Deyda a surprise. He said: “I am going to give him a birthday surprise that Gambians will never forget.” Readers might think that I am making empty allegations, but all that I am saying here is nothing but the truth. At this point, I will call on Bajinka to speak out before I spill the beans. He knows a lot about what I am talking about.” The NIA official posited.

Facts are emerging regarding the murder of prominent Gambian journalist Deyda Hydara. Ever since accusing fingers had been directed at the Jammeh government as  the perpetrators of  the journalist’s demise.  Writing under the banner of self styled pen name Serge PMJ, a  senior member of Gambia’s intelligence Agency, the (NIA) has released damaging revelations regarding Hydara’s murder. The NIA operative in a detailed and damning report explained how President Jammeh ordered his hit men to take the life of Deyda Hydara. Interior Minister Ousman Sonko, Major Musa Jammeh, Lieutenant Kawsu Camara, alias Bombardeh and the late Captain Tumbul Tamba have been named as the killers of  Deyda Hydara. The Gambian leader assigned the said individuals to kill the late journalist. Former Gambia Press Union Demba Ali Jawo, Former BBC Banjul Correspondent Ebrima Sillah and others were also lined up to be killed by the above mentioned Jammeh hit men, according to this classified intelligence report filed by Serg PMJ. Below is the full text of Serg’s report. Please read on…..

Dear editors,

I was back from Iran over the weekend. As I promise, check below. Jammeh ordered Deyda Hydara’s assassination.  The idiotic monster Yahya Jammeh ordered the assassination of prominent Gambian journalist Deyda Hydara. Yes, President Jammeh ordered the killing of Hydara, but Hydara was not his main target. The main target was Demba Jawo. Jammeh once asked us to provide him with the names of the most respectable Gambian journalists. Some of us smell a rat since that very day. However, the names were provided as requested and three names were submitted- Demba Jawo, Deyda Hydara and Swaebou Conateh. We later realize that Swaebou’s name was omitted by Jammeh himself. The reason many people might not know but sometime ago, Lamarana Jallow made mention of it- Swaebou wrote the 1994 coup speech. Whether at a gun point or not doesn’t matter in this piece I am piecing together but Jammeh cannot afford to betray the old man.

Although, he does not have respect and does not respect anybody, not even his own mother, but Jammeh have high regard for the old man. Anyway, submission of names was done sometime in August 2004, shortly before the assassination attempt on the life of Ebrima Sillah of the BBC. If readers could recall, I sometime ago wrote that some of the journalists were targeted for assassination during the April 2000 student demonstration and Sillah’s name was among the list. When the August 2004 attempt on his life also failed, Jammeh was very furious and vowed to get him one day. It’s good that Ebrima Sillah had left the country. Warning letters were sent to Jawo and Sillah asking them to desist from criticizing President Jammeh. We have the copies of the letters and these are the written words of Jammeh in the letter sent to Jawo: “Very soon we will teach one of your journalists a very good lesson. We are sure you don’t want your bones and flesh to be thrown to dogs and vultures.” This was written under the orders of President Jammeh and he meant it.

Shortly before Deyda was killed, a planned assassination attempt was made on Jawo’s life while he was attending a conference at the Sindola Hotel in Kanilai.

He knows a lot about what I am talking about.

Prior to that fateful day, Jammeh summoned his killers (Ousman Sonko, Musa Jammeh, Kawsu Camara and Tumbul Tamba) and brief them how he wants the “birthday” present to be given to Deyda. Drive by shooting was suggested and it should be done professionally. Thus Deyda was assassinated on December 16. Shortly after the shooting, a call to President Jammeh private line at the State House from an insecure phone line was intercepted by our communications room telling the person at the receiving end, “Mission Accomplished.” The voice was later on identified as that of Major Ousman Sonko, and was talking to Jammeh himself. After Hydara’s killing, a preliminary investigation submitted to Jammeh by our office was turned down, replaced by the one made public. Our investigation revealed that Kawsu was on the wheel, Sonko was sitting at the front seat, Musa and Tamba at the back seat-right and left respectively. The shots fired into Deyda’s car were from 357 Magnum Revolvers. All of the three fired shots and whose shot hits Deyda, only God knows. I was at the mortuary at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital, the burial and Deyda’s house in Kanifing South.

I must at this point make mention of the prayer made by one of the Imams (name withheld for security reasons). He said, “May God exposes the killers of Deyda Hydara,” and I believe that his prayer has been accepted. The killers are exposing or being exposed one after the other.  Tumbul Tamba is in the land of our silent fathers. However, circumstances surrounding his death are incriminating, according to our preliminary investigations, as it shows poisoning. Rapist Sonko continues to be a rapist. He recently forcefully had a sexual affair with a female staff of the Interior Department. For Musa Jammeh, it’s a pity. I witnessed on two occasions, when people run away from him. The first was at the International Bank for Commerce who he banks with. I was at the Serrekunda branch when he entered the Bank. The moment he enters, people started to leave-even those who are yet to be attended to. I saw them come back when he left. The second was at a funeral of his ex-wife’s father. This time around again, people started leaving the moment he enters the compound to pay homage to the old man.

For Kawsu, I am far from him to monitor people’s reaction towards him. However, President Jammeh was very furious about the staging of a procession from the Arch 22 to the Police Headquarters and Interior Ministry by journalists. So naïve as he was, the cowardly monster president Yahya Jammeh ordered the then Chief of Staff Colonel Vincent Jatta to send his men to forcefully disperse the journalists. Very well mature as he was, Jatta vehemently refused to obey Jammeh’s orders, which resulted to his subsequent sacking.

Among Jammeh’s orders was to force the marching journalists to disperse and if they refused, which was very likely, they should shot at. Fortunately, the marching journalists were aware of Jammeh’s clandestine intention. At the Interior Ministry, I saw then Honourable Halifa Sallah busily asking journalists to quickly disperse. Not many of the journalists knew what was going at the time and I don’t think many still do, but Jammeh was mobilizing his killers to carry out his orders.

Former Inspector General of Police Landing “13” Badjie was sacked from his position as a result of insisting to get to the bottom of the killing of Deyda Hydara. Badjie, despite warning from close friend want to see to it that those involved in the assassination be arrested and brought to book. He was forthwith relieved from his position without any explanation. Sulayman Massaneh Ceesay was also sacked from his ministerial position after he raised Deyda’s case in one of the cabinet meetings. Jammeh was reported to be so annoyed that he did not make any comment for the rest of that cabinet meeting. These are facts and should be archived. Jammeh will be surprise to read these online but who cares now that the Counter-Intelligence Unit have access to the files.
