I would say it is about 50/50 in this area (I know this because my wife is a nurse and works in the medical field here). Our countries problem is that it is too soft. We don’t demand that they assimilate. It is the I’m ok, you’re ok, crap the Libs try to push on us. Our country was founded by immigrants that ASSIMILATED to our culture and BECAME AMERICANS. However, it seems to me that, the immigrants of today just want to USE America. They want to come here and turn our country into the crap hole they came from instead of aspiring to be better. I would say that I agree with Teddy Roosevelt. He said this about immigration… “In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the persons becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. If any man says he is an American, and something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, we have room for but one language, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the American people.” -Theodore Roosevelt 1907 I could not have said it better myself. So I will leave it at that….
