Gambia Sold-Jammeh and his criminal cartel exposed!!

Amadou Samba, Mustapha Njie, Edi  Jobe and others act as Jammeh’s 419 operatives!!

“Mustapha Njie is another 419 operative for Jammeh.  He is contracted to sell the AU villas on behalf of Jammeh. These properties worth nothing less than million Dalasis. It’s a government own property, but Njie is poising as if Jammeh owns these luxurious buildings. Taiwan, Iran and other nations contributed towards the construction of these villas. But today, Jammeh and Njie have hijacked the said villas. There is no word as to where funds collected in the name of these villas goes to. Taf  is selling, historians, journalists and observers are closely recording his secret deals with Jammeh. A day would come Taf,  will account for these funds he is collecting in the name of Jammeh or the Gambian Government. That day is nearing.”

The fall of President Yahya Jammeh, would lead to an unfinished Commissions of Enquiry. The amount of corruption perpetrated by this administration far exceeds what deposed President Jawara and his few  gang of clique were accused of.  Jammeh means business, when it comes to money laundering, economic crimes, hijacking of the nation’s major parastals and shady business activities overseas. While Jawara and his group were accused of embezzling few couple  of thousands of Dalasis, the advent of Jammeh’s regime change the entire “graft” climate in this impoverished tiny West African country. Several millions of state funds have found its way into the pockets of corrupt officials, with Jammeh leading the looting spree. What a shame?

For Jammeh and his errand boys, stealing thousands of Dalasis was not only meant to smear one’s own image and integrity, but was also a waste of time and resources. They swindled millions of Dalasis into private bank accounts within and outside the country.  Very few people in this country, knows how Jammeh runs his criminal cartel, in the name of developmental projects. He is being aided and abetted by some unpatriotic Gambians, whose sole objective is to line their own pockets to deteriment of the nation. When the day of reckoning comes, some of these “Jammeh stooges” will account for every single butut they have stolen from our national treasury.

Just imagine in  a span of 13 years, Jammeh has emerged as “Africa’s richest.” President. He owns private jets, five star hotels, farms, zoos, Newspapers, Construction firms, Cellular phone company, Insurance Firm, Private Transportation Company, Livestock Firm, Sand Mining Company, the list goes on and on….

It’s imperative to note that most of these private establishments belonging to Jammeh were not registered in his name. He uses the likes of Amadou Samba, Edi Jobe, Baba Jobe, Mustapha Njie alias Taf, Boto alias Boto Construction, Muhammed Bashi, the new Lebanese hustler in town, his wife’s family  and some of his long distance so called family members.

In the case of Amadou Samba, he has a lot to explain regarding his so called riches. Here was a man, who was hardly known prior to the July 22ND coup. All of a sudden, Samba  emerges as  one of the richest businessmen in the country. The secret behind his riches is not new to  us Gambians. Yahya Jammeh created the Amadou Samba factor. Samba was not faring well in his legal profession and as such he decided to try his hand in business. Being an average lawyer, Samba spent most of his life in the fishing industry. He was competing with OB Conateh FISCO and others. The fishing business never worked out well for  him as expected. The coming of the junta changed his life dramatically. Thanks to Jammeh, Samba started signing multi-million dollar contracts. The airport and the Arch  were among such contracts given to him untendered.

In order  to win government contracts, Samba  allowed himself to be used by the dictatorship to run their “DIRTY PROJECTS.” Samba acts as Jammeh’s power of attorney in almost all his projects within and outside Gambia‘s frontiers. Being a legal mind Samba,  careless about the long term implications of entering into such business projects on behalf of Jammeh.

The Social Security Graft story!!

Recent revelations regarding Amadou Samba’s role into diverting Social Security contributions into “Jammeh’s private business errands suggest that this country is in wrong hands. Social Security contributions all over the world, are meant to be preserved for our hardworking labour force. But in the case of the Gambia, the Social Security Administration is a “scam centre” where people’s hard earned funds are being lavishly disbursed without their consent or prior knowledge.

Most of the workers in The Gambia, don’t have a valid Social Security numbers. Those tasked with issuing such numbers teamed up  with corrupt bureaucrats to dupe our unsuspecting workers by issuing them with fake numbers. These numbers are not entered into the Social Security database. And as such, it would be difficult for funds received in the names of these workers to be accounted for. In short, these workers are not assured of “retirement benefit.” Their monies went into the drain just like that.

There are also what they called the  “ghost” workers whose Social Security contributions are still being collected by the SSHFC without the consent of their loved ones. What they do is to establish contact persons in various lines of Ministries to facilitate the transfer of such funds at month end. These workers are considered alive when in actual fact, they are dead. Funds collected in the names of such individuals, goes into the pockets of corrupt officials.  Millions of funds worth of Social Security contributions have gone into the pockets of corrupt officials over the years. The graft is a well coordinated one. Thanks to some insiders at the SSHFC, the said graft is being exposed. The Gambian authorities will never probe such officials because the President has also been implicated directly or indirectly.

OCEAN BAY HOTEL FUNDS!!

Amadou Samba acting as the Board Chairman of the Social Security, Housing and Finance Coporation, conspired with President Jammeh and others to use our workers funds to buy and reconstruct the said hotel. Samba did not stop at that, he went as far as using the Corporation funds to run his GAMCO company, a local groundnut marketing outlet. The said company was in cash strap  and could not pay our indebted faming community. These are not mere  allegations against Samba and Jammeh. It is up to those accused to tell us their side of the story. Gambians want to know their role in duping our workers.

If recent reports reaching this paper are to go by, President Jammeh is on the verge of discarding Amadou Samba. That’s President Jammeh. He uses you and dump you like a waste trash. Samba in a bid to keep his business going, he sent some Banjul elders to apologize to the big man. It’s not yet clear what Samba most have done wrong to warrant such a fracas between him and Jammeh. Samba is a confused man at this hour. His business is at stake. He might as well join Baba Jobe to jail one day. Jammeh’s new pet boy Mustapha Njie alias Taf.

The AU Villa Scandal!!

Mustapha Njie is another 419 operative for Jammeh. That day is nearing.

It is also gathered that some Europeans and Gambians overseas have bought these AU Villas. It’s risky for one to buy these Villas because the sale of these properties were conducted in non transparent manner. Neither Cabinet, no the National Assembly have given approval for the sale of said properties. The decision came from President Jammeh via Taf. Therefore, it’s risky for anyone to buy these properties. Buying such properties, means you are doing it at your own peril or risk. Governments come and go, but the state remains. Our European friends and Gambians in diaspora should consider filing suits in the courts to request the revocation of such property sales. Now is the right time to claim for your money. Any future government can order for the revocation of such property sales. Jammeh is not the state. He is an individual who lacks the right to effect such property sales without the blessing of Cabinet or the National Assembly. Even if they should go to Parliament today to empower the President to carry out such business transactions, such laws can be amended.

Mustapha Njie’s business is at stake. Jammeh has succeeded in implicating him. His own business can be forfeited to the state if it’s established that Jammeh was secretly funding his business activities. Most of the contracts awarded to Taf were never tendered for. He was given contracts without observing the government designed standards for contract awarding.

Taf cannot deny that he had never reached a “KICKBACK” deal with the government to win such contracts. His corrupt case with Former Local Government Minister Lamin Kaba Bajo is still fresh in our minds. Most of plots of lands allocated to Taf were done clandestinely to the expense of our impoverished villagers. Non of Taf’s parents or grand parents were born to be rich. Taf came from a poor background like any of us. But today, he is competing with African millionaires. Taf is surviving from the properties of family clans, thanks to the government backing.

The Brufut Manneh Kunda land scandal is still fresh in our minds. The President went as far as threatening the Manneh clan with imprisonment if they fail to allow Taf to build his estates on their own land. The said land was not a state land, but the government uses their power to satisfy their business errand boy Mustapha Njie. There were other areas issued to Taf without the approval of the National Assembly or cabinet.

This country is run by few people. The President created the likes of Taf Njie, Amadou Samba, Edi Jobe, the new Lebanese hustlers in town. Jammeh is repeating the conditions that led to the overthrow of the PPP government. If he feels that he cannot run this country, he should step aside and allow those who have the brains to run the Gambia. Jammeh is an empty leader, who relied on 419 operatives such Samba, Njie, Jobe and others to reap-off Gambians. This political mess perpetrated by Jammeh got to be arrested now. Lets reclaim our country back. These criminals need to taste their own medicine, when things finally fall apart. The world is watching you!!!
