It's time to stop pretending that these national polls mean anything at this stage. The Democratic race is much tighter than the media leads us to believe:

Odd this article hasn't mentioned that Dennis Kucinich has passed Bill R. in the polls. He's a dark horse and that little guy just might carry the day. For those you you who haven't truly listened to him or read his bio, take a LOOK. He's AMAZING! He votad AGAINST FUNDING IRAQ. He CO SPONSORS HR 676-MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL. He is WILLING TO BEGIN IMPEACHMENT AGAINST BUSH AND CHENEY FOR WAR CRIMES! He is, as I said, AMAZING! GIVE 'EM HELL DENNIS! GIVE 'EM HELL!

These polls mean nothing. The only thing polls matter for is to show momentum on the states that lead the voting.

Just ask Dean and Gephardt who were in a statistical tie with Kerry and Edwards in December 03 in Iowa only to be trounced on caucus day.

The only thing polls are useful for and only in states that matter are to show momentum Nothing more.

Gage,

I think part of reason comes from the fact that these polls ask registered voters, many of the Paul and Gravel supporters that I have talked to either are participating for the first time or are Independents. The Rasmussen poll does take Independents into account, but I think the reason why both of these candidates show poorly is simply because they are outsider candidates that attract a different type of supporter.

I'm still amazed at how Mike Gravel is able to always get good results in all public polls that are open for voting to anyone, surpassing Dodd and Biden in most oppurtunities, and yet the poll scores are always low for him. Gravel is the best candidate on the Democratic field, and the Republican field in my opinion, but just like Ron Paul, who is the front runner on the internet, gets low ratings. E.g.; 2%, I just don't understand it.
