"Well-child" visits are not a covered benefit under many health plans. Most people therefore complete all tests and check-ups under the auspices of sick visits to avoid the extra cost. Single mothers have many financial advantages over single fathers, as the post rightly recognizes. I do not receive the child support awarded by the court. Most single dads don't even get child support awarded in the first place! I think it is time to see single fathers for what they really are: great parents doing a great job!
