had a strange experience with indiabulls a couple of days back where they sold off all my shares in my portfolio cause the market was tanking....if they wouldnt have done anything i would have had a notional loss of 300 rupees for a holding of 30000 at end of the day...but because of them i lost 3000 rupees...they said they freaked out cause of lower circuit and had to recover margin money...i just realised my broker doesnt trust me..he couldnt call me and ask can u pay the amount by end of day. its a misuse of the power of attorney...i was thinking of complaining to sebi but reading your article above i am thinking otherwise....best thing to do i have realised is take out all money from indiabulls just use its terminal for checking market info and charts and stuff and use an offline broker for trades and use a depositary somewhere else. and execute trades and give the money only after that by cheque. that way he doesnt misuse any balance with him and my existing shares are also safe.
