OK, I’ll translate all of that using my not very good English grammar school German, the band’s name translates to Collapsing Buildings, and their album is Palace of the Republic. Prog rock is alive and well in Europe, and this band is living proof. What I like about Einstuerzende Neubauten is that they are gutsy enough to sing a couple of songs in their native tongue, most of the bands prefer to exclusively use the universal language of American English.
There are so many great bands out there, but we in North America get to hear so few of them. The TV and Radio will only give airtime to performers that are already on the map. The MSM (Main Stream Media) has little or no time for innovation. If you are not already famous they cannot squeeze a review into the 100 page newspaper, of course this is primarily because 99 pages are taken up with adverts!
Palast Der Republik is an interesting CD, and I am sure that Einstuerzende Neubauten put on a fine live performance. The band has a (mostly) English web site http://www.neubauten.org/ that contains both audio and video samples, so you can try before you buy.
If you do decide to add this fine band to your collection it is available through MVD.
