How sane is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Not very, may well be the answer. The Iranian leader has proclaimed the Holocaust as a, ‘myth’ and, reports CNN, ‘suggested that Israel be moved to Europe, the United States, Canada or Alaska.’ What? No option for Siberia? I suppose if you can deny the deaths of 6 million Jews amongst millions of other ethnic groups, anything is plausible.

Ahmadinejad has placed the call for Israel to be, ‘wiped off the map’. The bits and pieces view we are receiving of the Iranian President is reason enough to know why nuclear power is not a viable option for him. Still, the Iranian President maintains a seat at the United Nations and was invited to speak at Columbia University. Despite my belief that the U.S. sometimes steps in places it shouldn’t while ignoring others, I must admit, this is one man who doesn’t need to be in possession of nuclear power.

What is the real risk of Ahmadinejad holding an atomic bomb? Well first of all, Iran does have permission under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to, ” enrich its own fuel for civil nuclear power, under the International Atomic Energy Agency (AEA) inspection.” Iran continues to maintain a position of innocence in any plans to misuse nuclear technology and power. It is believed that Iran cannot be trusted to hold its’ word and that, ’ the Iranian leadership has had a consistent record of antipathy toward diplomatic convention and violation of agreements.’

Really, do you want a person that can deny an event as massive as the Holocaust holding the capability of the next Hiroshima or Nagasaki in the palm of his hand?

So I ask, ‘It’s Come To This?’.
