Remember, this guy-accordin to court appeal- bought his 1st. store in 1979 choosing DD because he didn,t have to handle pork. They provided him even with signs saying "No meat products available" meaning they have such a policy of exemption as long as the customers are satisfied. This satisfaction is the sole goal of every successful business. Ther are more than 40 Kosher DD stores nationwide. How would you justify that?? .How much the sales of bacon sandwiches in DD? 1% or 2%. If there was a loss from not selling those , the franchisee is the primary looser, not the big company. Let's be wise and just.If you read the script of the appeal decision, you,ll tell that it is not the pork behind DD decision not to renew the contact, it is something else; pretextual & DISCRIMINATORY!!!

This case struck me as very strange. I live in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NY. Earlier this year. a Dunkin' Donuts opened in a strip mall here. It will NOT serve pork products such as the nationally advertised breakfast sandwiches.
