		<description>Media players such as xine and mplayer will play almost anything.  You just need to get the right CODEC/plugin from the mplayer site. VLC is also cool mentioned by ThisGuyDoug.</description>

		<description>What a great blog post.  Congrats on getting those things to work for you.  I'm a fan of Automatix and like the way it works.  I've had no bad experiences with it yet.  I'm also a big fan of VLC as a video player.  It plays just about everything I've thrown at it, but I don't know how it will handle VCDs (or ones using an Asian codec).  Should that fail, I found this well-written page that may provide some help.  Good luck.
