		<description>I'm no medical professional, so whether or not video game addiction is real, I just can't say. It may well be possible for all I know but to be perfectly honest, all I'm concerned with is the welfare of the children. The article doesn't say whether this couple were taking care of their own basic needs but if they were, I'd hazard a guess that it wasn't an addiction in the true sense of the word. 

It isn't going to solve anything to lash out at video games though. You don't see any children charities campaigning to have them banned because it would solve nothing. Child neglect would continue in one way or another, if not through a video game, then through something else. I'd go so far as to say that a video game might be the catalyst but I simply can't agree that they're inherently dangerous.</description>
