		<description>We all have our little pet peeves... one of mine is seeing Ceres referred to as a 'Texas-sized asteroid' because of a similarity between its diameter (just under 600 miles) and some linear dimensions of Texas.
 
We should be looking at the surface area of Ceres. It's not 'Texas-sized' at all; it is way bigger than Alaska, almost the size of Argentina. If it were a country, it would be the 9th largest in the world.
 
We live on a surface; the diameter just tells you how deep you can dig a hole.
 
Let's show a little respect for a new planet! [Ya, I think that dwarf planets (which Ceres was recently reclassified as) are planets - just like dwarf people are people!]
