To DAR: I stand corrected on the TOTAL collected in the 2Q by Ron Paul.
However, I did not lie!
When I wrote the article it was probably July 5th to the 7th and it was published July 11th. The FINAL FEC totals were not published until July 15th. I may have picked up a partial total thinking it was correct (it may have been at that time). In any case, it was an inadvertent error and I am sorry for the confusion. I try and do the best research that I can and at times it is difficult to nail down certain facts and in this case I sincerely believe that is what happened. Believe me, I did not intentionally lie. There would have been no reason to do so and I value my integrity and the integrity of my work more than to lie for a silly reason like intentionally mis-stating an amount collected.
I also would like to point out that FamilySecurityMatters.org is a VERY legitimate website and if you looked at the listing of contributing writers, you would easily see that. I am a contributing editor and have been for about 18 months. I have nothing to do with the website other than that.
My articles have also appeared on conservativevoice.com, townhall.com or accuracyinmedia.org. I am a contributor to these sites when they "pickup" one of my articles.
I trust that explains my position and helps you understand better how the error may have occured.

Although Dr. Paul has a snowballs chance in hell of getting to the Whitehouse, I still support him as much as I can. I donate every month. Ive bought a banner, organized a meetup, bought bumper stickers etc. I hope he wins. I cant see another candidate out there that cares about our nation and its people the way he does. He's such a great personality even when under fire by big media.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and prove to the elite that this is OUR country!

GO RON GO!!!

Walter Anderson of Family Security Matters claims that second quarter contributions to Ron Paul are just $1.2 million. I suspect Anderson is simply lying, but this should be checked out.

Family Security Matters rejects all contact email, so it might be that the entire web site is a fraud.

You really cannot watch that video on abcnews.go.com/politics unless you are running some other browser. I'm using Firefox on Linux Ubuntu. Your mileage may vary.
